Address for imprint

What is it and what is there to consider?

An address for the imprint of a website must be a summonable address at which the operator of the website can be reached by post. It can be a business address, an office address or a private address, as long as it can be summoned.

A serviceable address is an address under which legal documents and letters can be delivered and which therefore meets the legal requirements for an address in the imprint. A post office box address alone is not sufficient, as this is generally not considered a summonable address.

It is important that the address given in the imprint is correct and up-to-date in order to ensure smooth communication between the website operator and its users or customers. If the address changes, the imprint must be updated accordingly.
